Fragment of my Imagination (Acrylic on Canvas) - 2021

One of my very early pieces, where I allowed myself to experiment with colour and brushstrokes. A little back story, the original reference photo was in black and white and so I allowed my imagination to go wild I used colour to define the various shapes, highlights and shadows. I remeber feeling good when completing this piece nothing felt too difficult because there were no rules I just made them up as I went along with whatever colour I wanted to use I used. This piece is truly a product of my imagination the colours were simply a reflection of how I felt that this painting should be represented. This a real one of one. The colour scheme and the brushstrokes in the way that I painted can never be replicated. I captured a moment and space in my life that I can never return to, but that I am forever grateful for having experienced because without it I wouldn't have this painting that you see before you.
